Smart Sensors
Applications
• medical devices such as hospital beds
• engineering equipment such as automated testers
• vehicle leveling and/or alarm control sensing
• solar panel positioning
• safety sensing for heaters where equipment has to be kept in relative level state
The picture shows one such application. Here the Smart sensor is being used in a scaffold. The scaffold is being held up by vertical cables with motors attached to adjust the length of the cables. The Smart sensors make sure the angles remain at 0˚. If any angle becomes larger than 4˚, one motor will be turned off until the angle is at 0˚ again.
